Eligibility Criteria for the Nijashree Housing Scheme
The families of applicants interested in applying under this scheme must meet the following eligibility criteria.
To apply under this scheme, the applicant must fulfill the following qualifications.
- If the applicant is from LIG i.e. Low Income Category, then his monthly income from all sources should be less than Rs. 15,000.
- If the applicant is from MIG i.e. Middle Income Category, then his monthly income should be less than Rs. 30,000.
- The applicant and his family should be permanent residents of the state of West Bengal.
- The applicant or any member of his family should not have any pucca house or flat in his name.
- The applicant should be a resident of the district in which the flat is being constructed under the Nijshri Housing Scheme.
- Only one person from a family can apply for this scheme and only one housing unit can be applied for per family.
- If the applicant has already got a flat under this scheme, then he will not be able to apply again under this scheme in any other district of West Bengal.
